As such, we are continually exposed to stressors brought forward by our clients and inherent in our work. Trauma and stress impact the quality of our service and our overall health and wellbeing. As professionals, we are trained to employ tools and techniques to address our clients’ needs. Long before we can employ tools and techniques, we must first learn to identify and address the underlying stress in our physiology and create a safe container for working with ourselves and our clients. This course is appropriate for professionals who want to refine and deepen their awareness and understanding of their clients, especially those who are enduring hardship or trauma. Such professionals may include mental health practitioners, healthcare practitioners, body workers, attorneys, mediators, and teachers.
